In a strategic move, Fragrance Foundation Arabia has announced the signing of an exclusive agreement with global market research company, Euromonitor International, to provide Fragrance Foundation Arabia and its members with intelligence on markets and consumers in the Middle East. Euromonitor employs more than 600 in–country analysts throughout the world.

“This agreement is a milestone in the Foundation’s commitment to serve the fragrance business in the Middle East by providing the most useful information to industry players,” said Shahzad Haider, chairman of the Fragrance Foundation Arabia. “The research papers and statistics will help tremendously to tackle challenges faced by the fragrance industry in recent times,” he added further.

Euromonitor’s sales director for Middle East & North Africa, Saskia Adriaens, sees a great opportunity in the co-operation: “With our internationally comparable statistics and analysis on 80 markets, companies can anticipate opportunities by monitoring changing trends and shape market entry strategies.”

Members of Fragrance Foundation Arabia will get special access and 25% discount for market reports, analysis and research data. Fragrance Foundation Arabia, founded in 2008, is an industry-driven organization, offering marketing support, educational programs and valuable data about the industry to its members.

“The data and analysis provided by this acclaimed company will be an important tool for our members. It will help them shape strategy and adjust retail strategies,” says Grit Pannier, president of the Fragrance Foundation Arabia.

Euromonitor’s Adriaens adds: “The partnership will provide a platform, from which Euromonitor and Fragrance Foundation Arabia will support fragrance-related companies in the region with their strategic decision making. More than ever there is a need to expand the knowledge base and avoid costly mistakes.”

In co-operation with Euromontior Fragrance Foundation Arabia is planning a yearly event called “State of the Industry.” This event will feature an analysis of the fragrance business. An insightful discussion about the state of the economy and how it dictates consumer purchasing habits towards fragrances will be presented by Euromonitor.
